Ronchi di Pietro is nestled in the idyllic winegrowing region of Colli Orientali del Frilui. Founded in 1950 by Pietro Zorzettig and is now operated by his son and grandson, Francesco and Fluvio. The ancient church built in 1522 anchors this glorious property in history.
Tocai Fruilano is universally planted and an immensely popular grape in this region. Although Tocai is in the Sauvignon family, its wines have more seductive fruit and less grassiness in the glass. 60% of the grapes are grown on steep hillside vineyards whit the remaing 40% from lower vineyards. 100% malolactic fermentation leads to 5 months aging in modern stainless steel to preserve the crisp freshness of the grape.
