Harvesting is strictly by hand. Since the vineyards are so close to the winery, the grapes are immediately processed after harvest. Mid-maceration fermentation occurs in small temperature controlled stainless-steel vats. Famed Tuscan oenologist, Marco Stefanini oversees all details of the winemaking processes.
Fattoria La Peschiera (Small Farm of the Fish) was established in the year 1980 on a beautiful hillside of seven hectares overlooking the town of Saturnia. The winery is located in a land celebrated for beauty, natural mineral springs, Etruscan and Roman history and for marvelous wines.
