Zigzagando

Langhe Nebbiolo "Maggiur" 2001

Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo in the "Michet", "Lampia" and "Rosè" sub-varieties.

Production zone: Barbaresco.

Ageing: 1 years  in chestnut or oak barrels.

Taste: Deep ruby, bright and clear like a good burgundy. Delicious cherry and violet aroma, aniseed. Good attack and body, very dry and warm. Touch of tannin, and good fruit.  An intriguing play of crisp cranberry, briar and tarry anise scents involve us totally at the very outset. Beautiful concentrations of fruit and a lovely caressing texture that follows through to the finish is especially attractive in this example.Very good.

Informations:Cascina Luisin and Mocagatta are contiguous properties, owned by cousins, and both include sections of the Rabajá Vineyard, which is one of the best in Barbaresco.
