Barolo Leon

Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo in the "Michet", "Lampia" and "Rosè" sub-varieties.

Production zone: Barbaresco.

Ageing: 3 years  in chestnut or oak barrels.

Taste:  delicate aromas of cherry in alcohol and floral with hints of cloves in the mouth is fruity and aromatic, good freshness and excellent finesse.
Deep dark red with some brown and lightening. Clean, ripe, yet dirty aromas of fruit, licorice, mint, and wood. Incredibly smooth. A heady perfume. Great acidity and structure. Smells very mature, but not necessarily old. A very nicly balanced tannic finish. It's amazing the lifeline of these old Barolos!

Informations:Cascina Luisin and Mocagatta are contiguous properties, owned by cousins, and both include sections of the Rabajá Vineyard, which is one of the best in Barbaresco.
