BAROLO DOCG

Region: Piedmont, Barolo.
Vineyard/Territory: vineyards in Castiglione Falletto.
Grape: 100% Nebbiolo
Alchool content: 13,5 % vol.
Vinification: Ripe grapes fermented in wooden vats.
Aging: Aged for three years in oak barrels.
Taste: Garnet red. Ethereal aromas, pleasant and intense. Dry yet full, robust yet velvety.
The body is balanced by virtue of a knowing use of oak, resulting in a Barolo unburdened by heavy wood overtones but with the well-developed flavors that are predictable in a wine aged in large casks. This is accompanied by enjoyable spice notes and a flowery bouquet, rich in violets and roses. Nice texture, open and warm: when properly aged in the bottle, silky, fine and elegant on the palate.
Notes: Bava Barolo originates in our family vineyards in Castiglione Falletto, at the heart of the classic Barolo area.
It is not intended to be either "traditional" or "modern", but, more simply, "elegant", according to our winemaking style, which is respectful of the local terroir.
